We are so proud to share the success of Ruma Baker, Year 9 student at Wickersley School, who is doing incredibly well with her dancing.
She has only recently begun her journey with dancing, having transitioned from gymnastics to ballroom and Latin, and has just started competing with her first competitive partner, Christopher Buttle.
Together, they make a fantastic partnership, already making the top 7 in the Under 16s category in the UK – in both ballroom and Latin.
With their passion and work ethic, they hope to be in the finals very soon, which is absolutely amazing for a partnership formed only this year!
They will begin training in the Ukraine and Italy later this year to further develop their skills.
This determination and resilience embodies what we want to see in the ‘Wickersley Way’.
