This month, Y11 Film Studies students attended the first-ever Futures Festival at the world-famous Pinewood Studios. As a working film studio, responsible for franchises such as Harry Potter, James Bond, and Mission Impossible, students had the opportunity to experience working in the film and TV industry.
The day began with a Q&A with Radio 1 film critic, Ali Plumb, after, students were able to try their hand at using professional film cameras, teleprompters, lighting rigs, and 3D scanners. It wasn’t just the industry professionals that were present as Chewbacca, C-3PO, and Darth Vader all made appearances throughout the day.
The overall experience was incredibly fun and inspiring with many students making successful connections in the industry.
