Friday the 6th of October saw the annual Wickersley School sponsored walk taking place with students and staff taking on the 13 mile circular route to raise money for this year’s chosen charities.
- Y11 – Rotherham Hospice
- Y10 – Rise Rotherham
- Y9 – The Lighthouse Project Rotherham
- Y8 – Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
- Y7 – Sheffield Children’s Hospital
On a mild autumn day the route was muddy in areas but students showed great resilience in completing the walk with lots of smiling happy faces.
Thanks to Roche Abbey and Laughton All Saints’ Church for the use of their facilities on route and we look forward to continuing this Wickersley tradition next year.
