Higher Education provision is for students aged 18 and upwards who wish to continue their learning at Level 5 (Diploma) to Level 6 (Honours Degree) to Level 7 (Masters Degree) and onwards to Doctorate level.
Degree courses are now widely available through over 100 UK universities ranging from Russell Group Institutions such as the University of Sheffield and the University of Leeds in Yorkshire to right on our doorstep at the new UCR (University Centre Rotherham).
All University degree and higher degree course can be found through searching on UCAS, many courses can be studied part-time and often courses have a ‘sandwich’ option and offer a year in placement or industry.
Apprenticeship Degrees are available through some employers, for example, our local AMRC (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre) offers degree apprenticeships whereby you are employed to work and study your degree one day a week – all fees are paid for by your employer.
For information on fees and funding available it’s worth checking out national student finance or our local Higher Education Partnership pages HEPP: a funding presentation is available in the documents section.
